An exhibition exploring Ahmedabad’s relationship with water as a living narrative connecting memory and modernity.
It brought together stories from the LWM’s digital archive alongside research and stories we collected.Through films, photographs, installations and textile panels, these narratives became a spatial experience engaging with Ahmedabad’s water histories.
Built around “a visible past haunting an invisible present,” the identity layered archival photographs with silhouettes of historic water architecture. Inspired by cyanotype printing, deep blues, traces and imprints carried the idea of memory across the exhibition. QR codes connected the physical exhibition back to the
Living Waters Museum’s digital archive.
The exhibition extended to a film screening and conversation with the director, followed by a panel discussion with scholars working around Ahmedabad’s water histories.
